45 days...
A few
weeks ago, I tweeted about the show How I Met Your Mother. I said, and I quote “I can’t wait until it’s
#45days until I meet that special someone. It will all be worth it.” This
appeared in a HIMYM episode called The Time Travelers. In it, Ted has the unique desire to meet his
soon to be wife forty-five days before it they actually meet. Why? Because he’s tired of waiting and
experimenting. He wants to settle down,
have two kids (a boy and a girl), and finally have fulfillment in his life,
which Lily and Marshall already have and which Barney and Robin will soon be
having.
Like
Ted, I am done waiting. I want to find
that special someone. What does this
mean? I guess it means that I have to do my best in the weeks to come,
searching, finding, seeking out that special person in my life that will make
all of my wildest dreams come true. (Thanks Napoleon). I am on this lifelong quest. I can’t deny; I can’t turn away from it.
I wish I
knew that it was going to be 45 days until I meet that special someone. I start
school soon, less than 45 days away. Will
I meet her then? I would like to know, so I could run up to her now, and say…you
don’t know it, but I am your future husband, and we are going to have a long
lasting relationship that’ll span through the eternities.
I’ll
hold on to that thought and keep searching and doing my best to find her. I’ll
be patient, and I hope that I won’t get frustrated in the act of looking.
